Hello all, I took a workshop at Mt. Shasta, here it is almost sunset near Mt. Shasta. We were taking photos of Mt. Shasta from various different places but I really liked this image with the old country barn. A man across the street behind us was tending his garden as our group set up our tripods to take photos of sunset and Mt. Shasta. Imagine what he was thinking. Not much snow left on the mountain. We saw the most incredible lenticular clouds up there. There is something about the mountain that captures and sucks in the clouds in the most amazing way. Mystical Mt. Shasta.
This is a long exposure and I used an nd grad filter (Hitech) and a circular polarizer. I learned a lot in the workshop but it was also so much fun.

you have made good use of the evening light in a well composed shot, the old barn being a worthy subject before the distant snow capped mountain.
A spectacular that has been very well composed and presented.
Warm regards Les.

Hello Karen - The WS sounds like fun and I envy you the opportunity to meet with other photographers. You certainly managed to get this shot taken in the most attractive light. Warmly golden hues add the atmosphere to a well composed image. The old barn makes a super subject and back by the mountain it looks magical.

Attractive golden light view across the grassy field, the large classical wood barn, then the very dominate Mt. Shasta which is indeed magical a volcanic icon rising above the valley floor.
And good to hear you learned from the photographers workshop, and the use of combining a nd graduated filter with a polarizer filter. I will try this technique in the future.
Keep up the good art works,

Beautiful! Love seeing Mt. Shasta on drives up and down I-5 when I was living in Portland. Awesome capture with terrific lighting and sharp details. Wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.

What a spectacular scene. The golden light creates a fine mood for the scene. Good colour contrast between the foreground green meadow and the background mountain and the blue sky. The barn is placed in a nice angle and is a nice addition to this lovely scene. The ND filter creates anice touch on the clouds. Lovely work:) TFS.

What a wonderful scene and attractive light to supplement. The old barn house literally glows in the light. The mountain creates a fantastic backdrop as does the lenticular clouds...
Excellent landscape shot
PS : Thanks for your nice words on my Bukhara post. I am well and truly flattered
