Photographer’s Note
During the last two weeks, Northern California has been pounded with storm after storm. Todays storm caused massive flooding including this flash flood that wiped out a street and two cars parked along side it.
I had to walk two blocks through a foot of water to reach the cars. I used a slow shutter speed to stress the speed at which the water was moving.

excellet shot and a great deterrent for me as I am supposed to drive through mill valley tomorrow morning. There's something about the child's posture that tells me he is thinking "what the @#$@^%, just happened?" It's fruitiutous how the stickers adorning the pick up match the clothing on the kid and adult.
Well seen and stay dry and safe, Happy new Year.

Great photo Wesley. I live in San Anselmo and was downtown shooting the damage done by the flood that hit us last night. The photo is not as dramatic, but hopefully it conveys the impact such an event can have on a community. This has been quite a month for heavy rain in our neck of the woods. Hope you're keeping dry!

Hi Wesley. Excellent capture of a scene clearly showing the power of nature with its destructive grip. Very sad news about the flooding in the area and hope you are safe. Thanks for sharing!
