Photographer’s Note
I thought I'd post one more image of what fog looks like from a distance before getting closer and showing the world beneath the fog at the water's edge in Sausalito. Here I'm standing at an estuary at the edge of Richardson Bay near an area called Strawberry Point in Mill Valley. I was looking south as I shot this photo toward the fog rolling over the hills above Sausalito.
As I've mentioned before the opening at the Golden Gate is a major access point for fog from the Pacific Ocean to enter the Bay. This results in a build up of fog at that opening that then begins to pour over the adjacent hills as you see here. It can be a very dramatic sight as one drives south on Highway 101 toward San Francisco. The fog rolls over the hills and then gradually disappears as the cool air confronts the warm air that is trapped in the basin created by hills that surround the Bay. It looks like a witches brew, with fog billowing and then disappearing into wisps before completely disappearing.
Enjoy the view.

Yo Curtis, nice crisp image of this phenomena, this is exactly the way I saw it, when I reached the Californian coast coming from Seqoia and Kings Canyon, a big roll of cold whiteness, covering up anything underneath it with a chilly temperature.
I like the very blue reflection of the sky on the rippled water, the green dot, and the rock in it. Nice composition, with the dry triangle of the shoreline.

Some beautiful blues here, I also like the layered effect of foreground shingle, water, trees, fog then sky :)

Good evening, Curtis.
A colourful, well composed scene with good shadows and contrast. The clarity is excellent. I like the jutting points of land to left and right. As well, the reeds on the left nicely balance the foreground. I might have "mildly" cropped a little of the foreground; on the other hand that would have removed a point of contrast between the light and dark ground layers. A keeper.
