Photographer’s Note

Taken from the shore in Burlingame. I don't travel much but I really enjoy seeing planes taking off. Purely by coincidence I live very near the airport, and almost daily go for walk (always with my camera) near the shore and the aiport is the view from the shore. The skies here have been unbelieably beautiful in the last few days. Beyond the airplanes parts of San Francisco can be seen.

I like seeing takeoffs and landings as well... Interesting landing strip - so close to the water...

Always makes me nervous to land at SFO due to the proximity of the bay. For a truly scary landing however, check out photos of the runway at St Maarten in the Carribean. (like http://www.aviationpics.de/prev/st%20maarten.jpg - this is not a photoshop!!!)

I like the space in this photo, although it's a little too centered for me. TFS
