Point Bonita Lighthouse
We were doing some short hike in Marine Headland Recreation. Thanks to the very kind and friendly ranger, we were invited go along with a group who has reservation for the tour of the light house in the evening. It was a beautiful sunset on one side and a full moon rising over the Golden Gate Bridge on the other side. We didn’t have the tripod with us so the full moon picture didn’t come out as I like but good enough. I will post that tomorrow for those who like to see it, check it out tomorrow.

Point Bonita Light is a lighthouse located at Point Bonita at the San Francisco Bay entrance near Sausalito, California. Point Bonita was the last manned lighthouse on the California coast.

Historical Information from USCG web site:
Point Bonita Light Station had the first fog signal on the West Coast. It was an Army surplus 24-pounder siege gun. This light is the only one in America that can be reached only by crossing a suspension bridge which is a replica of the Golden Gate Bridge.
In 1877 the lighthouse was moved to its current location. This location required the builders to overcome many challenges, including the need for a hand carved, 118-foot long hard rock tunnel.

Hello Way,
the perfect light exposure did allow you to deliver a terrific shot. Compo works very well with the lighthouse well balanced by the bridge on the left. Every sinlge detail is well visible and even the rocks in the fg are not too dark and well balancing the whole lot. The warm and soft colours in the sky are simply amazing adding a great feeling of peace and silence enhanced by the birds flying free in the vastity of that space. Hope you'll allow me to add your pic to my favourite.

Hello Way,

That deep orange/yellow toning is just wonderful.
The division vertically very nice, the off-center placement of the lighthouse works well. The birds, I first thought you copy-pasted some, but they are really all different hahaha. Nice one with even some detail in the foreground.

Point Bonita, bonita foto.

Really like this lighthouse contra sunset picture with a good detail of the light at the blue time. Also the bridge and the birds gives to it more reality.

Yes, I believe this area is closed after dusk, thus an original for that alon. The way the flying birds are positioned is perfect, as is the exposure in a difficult light condition, the bridge also appears more grandiose and important than what it actually is, which is a pedestrian bridge to the edge of nowhere.

Excellent Capture! The birds highlighted by the last light of the day and the silhouette of the lighthouse with just a touch of the beacon showing, Wow! I think I would of liked just a touch of detail on the light and bridge but your silhouette presentation is right on the money. Well done!
