Photographer’s Note
Rainbow Falls located inside Devil Postpile National Monument. From highway 395, take highway 203 and go through the town of Mammoth Lakes. From here, follow the sign the the area. Unless you're up here before 7 am or camp inside the area, you can drive up here. You must take the shuttle from the Ski area. From inside the park, most hiker (including me) walk from devil postpile to this rainbow falls. the trail is 2.5 miles long which is beautiful during the Falls season. I rather walk from the Rainbow Falls trail head parking which only 1.3 miles hike. This time, I hiked here about 9 am, and stayed until 1 pm. This place is a beautiful spot to get away from the daily city life.
