Photographer’s Note
Lake Convict got it name from a group of 29 prisoners made a break in Carson City, Nevada on September 17, 1871. On their way to Southern California they stop at this little lake which is south of Mammoth Lakes. September 22, the group of 10 men, lead by Sheriff Robert Morrison caught up with the escape prisoners and exchange gunfire with them. Sheriff Morrison got kill from this gunfire.
This is how the lake got it name.

Hi Phuoc,
Great exposure of these massive rocks.
The windswept lake, and the rocks without any referrence and the sharpness almost gives it a miniuature feeling to the shot. I like it!
Well Done!

I know the place quite well but didn't know the origin of its name. Thanks for filling in the gaps!
Excellent framing and detail of this place.

Pure colour and pattern. This reminds me of Freeman Patterson, where you just see the colours and patterns, without any horizon or sky to distract you. Excellent!

Phuoc,
Outstanding composition. Straight, organized lines and colors at the bottom (lake) and then a massive array of colors and shapes above. Perfect idea to leave out the sky.
Very nice.
Richard
