Photographer's Note

To view the Sierra Nevada's Ritter Range 'Minarets' resembling Islamic mosques architecture only by Nature, drive from yesterday's Mammoth Lakes Basin posting via Highway 203 across Mammoth Lakes Village then north east to the Minaret Summit Vista Point.
The tallest spire in the arete is named after Norman Clyde the famous Sierra Nevada mountain climber.

The Ritter Range is the dividing point between west and east water flows. Snow melt waters on the west side flow towards California's San Joaquin Valley and on to the Pacific Ocean. And snow melt waters on its east side flow down into the Owen's Valley.

The highest peaks are Mount Ritter at 13,143 feet above sea level, and Banner Peak at 12,936 feet.
