Photographer’s Note
This is the main channel of Long Beach Marina. It is also the divider of Los Angeles County and Orange County. The right hand side is Los Angeles County and the left hand side is Orange County. The distance away is Pacific Ocean. This picture was taken facing south direction. The main channel is a busy place in a nice and sunny day. The activities in this area include boating, sailing, kayaking, rowing, and fishing.

Hi Wes,
Nice POV. I like the way you have framed the stoneway extending into the horizon. I guess it is a nice place to holiday.
Good capture with nice colours

Hi Wes. The stony pier is well used for structuring your composition, and affords a good feeling of depth and perspective. Nice light, good colors good to have the boats in the frame - perhaps the left third of your photo is a bit empty but in general the scene is well presented in a natural look that I appreciate.

Beautiful photo Wes.
Great depth and well captured.
Nice contrast between the stones colors and the ocean.
You got this one from a very good angle.
Good informative note. I'm learning.
Thanks.

Hello Wes,
I like your picture from LA and california, a so far place for me, but it's as i knew it, quite sure it's due to TV and baywatch :-)

Hello WES,
This seems my Birthown beach in a way. We have also this rock defensive protection against the sea. The two that are here not so near close one by one, but the blue ocean and the rocks are excatly the same, as colors and the way you capture. Here I have no Marina or harbour. For a fishing harbour only 6 kms north that I never shot, but someday.
Thanks very much for this nice picture very well done and composed, that makes me think that all of us live in a microcosmos inside the great macrocosmos.
The best to you.
Fernando

Hi Wes. I like this photo very much. Reminds me when I was a teenager fishing off the rocks on weekends. Didn't know about the boundery line between LA and Orange County. I like the change in colours of the water as it seperates from the rocks. It is great that you captured the various boats in the channel. Very nice composition. Thanks for the note...

Bonjour Wes
Je note un très bon cadrage où la digue est parfaitement positionnée, cela donne une bonne profondeur à la composition et une bonne perspective.
Hello Wes
I note a very good framing where the dam is positioned perfectly, that gives a good depth to the composition and a good perspective.

Hi Wes. Great job with the DOF here. That divider stretches way off into the distance and remains in focus the entire time. I also like the low-shooting angle and the textures. Nicely done Wes!

Bonsoir Wes,
Très belle perspective de cette digue s'avançant sur la mer et ces voiliers (voiles baissées ou levées) qui s'égaient au milieu d'un chenal conduisant vers la mer.
Excellente définition avec de très belles couleurs.
Amitiés.

Nice low peraspective Wes with the pier on the right, the contrast is nice. The pier is very sharp but maybe the water surface could have been just a bit sharper, the view is nice though, well seen.

Bonjour Wes,
J'aime cette diagonale marine, large chenal empli d'embarcations.
De belles couleurs.
Un tout petit manque de netteté peut-être.
Compliments.
Daniel
