Photographer’s Note
A scene recorded in Long Beach in a Saturday morning. I was chatting with the owner of this rod. He was not expecting anything from the fishing trip and he was happy to be on the beach doing something, or nothing.
I miss many friends of mine in TE, those have "gone fishing".

Hi Wes! I like your friend's idea. Just enjoying the place, regardless if he'll catch anything or not. Your photo summarizes that well. It's a beautiful beach. Good POV as well! rgds!

One of my dream vacation is a bridge a case of cold beer and a red and white float with no bait. I see your new friend has a similiar dream with one big difference He actually live out the dream.
Well done again Wes

Wes,
Yes, I guess we all will spend more time outdoors the coming 6 months. A simple and effective composition. I'm glad you included the navigation mark - never crop them out!!!
Thanks,
Magnus

Hi Wes! I like the simple composition which lets us focus on the depth and textures. Nice job retaining focus on the water throughout the pic. I know what you mean about TE people "gone fishing" as I was wondering where a lot of people have gone all of a sudden. Well keep posting and I'll catch up with you in a few days!

Hi Wes. Fernando puts it well with stating "simplicity in the best." A highly effective shot that really appeals to the soul. One can feel utter tranquillity with this scene and imagine oneself stretched out behind the fishing pole viewing the horizon. Just a great POV as well. Well done.

Hi Wes,
Don't be afraid. I don't like fishing so I'll be here. Hope the guy didn't catch a fish and will go taking pictures for TE. And maybe one day he will make pictures as good as yours.

I love the quality of your composition in this one, Wes. So many horizontal layers of different textures & colours. And then it comes this rod breaking through the layers with its verticality.
It would be more minimalistic if it was in b/w, but I'm not suggesting anything - it's beautiful as it is!

Simple and calming. Well seen.
I must admit that fishing is not really my thing, but when I see someone fishing they always seem to have a sense of peace and contentment that is enviable. I think you picture represents that.

Well this is nice to see. Simple yet alot of meaning in this shot. I like how from the ground up you have the different layers almost even other than th water. Nice work.

Wes, good cropping, and I especially like the contrast between the foam and the dark water, plus the bit of reflection you got between the foam and the sand. Cool shot.
See you,
Matt

Good catch Wes! A photo with anticipation in it... or just a pleasant reason to be on the beach. You've composed it very well.

Bonjour Wes
J'apprécie le cadrage avec la canne-à-pêche qui est positionnée sur un point fort.
Je constate aussi une bonne maîtrise de l'exposition, l'écume de la vague n'est pas surexposée.
Hello Wes
I appreciate framing with the fishing line which is positioned on a strong point. I note also a good control of the exposure, the scum of the wave is not over-exposed.
