Photographer’s Note
Long Beach is a good place for bird watching. This picture has captured three different kinds of birds. In WS, I have posted a “relaxed” version for the same group of birds. Here is my version of identifications. I am not sure if I have identified them correct. Please correct me if you know any one of them.
The large ones: Marbled Godwit
The medium ones (on the very top): Short billed Dowitcher
The smaller ones: Sandpiper – may be Western Sandpiper.

Hey Wes!
Glad to see one more shot of Long Beach! Your composition with only water in the back is well chosen. The picture is clear and sharp in spite of the flying birds. Well done!

Hi Wes
A great action shot! I like the spread of birds throughout the composition, with the bulk of them towards the left of the shot...kind of leading the pack. It's also made interesting by the fact that there are different types of birds in the shot. The water makes an excellent background. Well captured.

Hi Wes, Here you are again with this spectacular action shot. It must have been difficult to capture this picture. The darker colored background makes the birds stand out.
Good work. Regards, Andrew

Hello Wes,
A very nice capture of the birds, it's also made interesting by the fact that there are different types of birds in the shot, your composition with only water in the back is well chosen, I like the wrinkles on water as moving.
Excellent composition!
Cheers,

Ouah. Great action scene, Wes. Very dynamic catch of these guys in flight, with a lot of different postures to be found and studied. I like that all are within your frame here without a single one being cut, that doesn't often happen in this kind of photos. Also, the WS is a fun complement and genuinely relaxed indeed.

Hi Wes,
I see that I have forgotten one B. The B of Birds. These are superb pictures. Especially this one. I should have expected a shutter time of 1/1000 or shorter.

Hi Wes. I find it peculiar that so many different types of birds would be flying together. This is a great action shot with good freeze-framing and still composing a nice scene at the same time. I like how they are all pointed in the same direction here and the water looks nice and smooth. I don't have a clue about birds other than the basic ones. Very nice job Wes! Oh I added it to the birds theme.

Great capture Wes. Very sharp and interesting action - even for me who knows nothing about birds. I think you gathered more birds in this shot than I managed to do in all my duck pictures.
Thanks,
Magnus

Hello Wes! Really a great pic of these birds! Especially the bigger brown ones look great...a bit like giant colibris! They contrast well on the water which has a nice colour also! Well done!

Bonjour Wes
Il s'agit de deux belles formations d'oiseaux de mer. La haute vitesse a parfaitement figé la scène.
C'est du bon travail.
Hello Wes
They are two beautiful formations of seabirds. The high speed solidified the scene perfectly.
Very well done

Have a nice day Wes,
Thanks very much for your critique and comments to my work. I also like yours but as you know I'm limited in time but I will do my best with my weekly posts and my limited daily critiques. This is a nice picture and a unexpected scenery that you got. It's dificult to cacth this, but you did very well and well composed. Contrast, graphic, symetric and not so symetric, but nature life!
My best regards and a great green peace smiling to this nice work!
Luis
