Photographer’s Note
The “Seaside Walk” is a street next to a beach in the city of Long Beach. The entire street is built of wood. I took this picture facing west side. The area in the background with water front tall buildings is downtown Long Beach. A closer view of the downtown Long Beach is provided in one of my previous post "Long Beach, City Skyline". The foreground buildings are residential houses.

hi wes,
this is a realy good shot you have here with an excellent composition and a good point of view.the view of the beach is good but it carries the minimal exposure of sea.i feel you could have cropped a bit from the top because if you observe the top-right portion in detail you can find a bit of the building's wasteful part which i feel could have been excluded, otherwise the photo looks great.well done.
regards,
ravish.

Cher Wes,
Il semble difficile de construire plus près de la mer. J'aime beaucoup cet effet d'enfilade avec cette allée de planches qui conduit notre regard jusqu'à l'horizon.
J'aime beaucoup votre album. Je remarque que l'eau, les grands espaces ont une place importante dans votre vie.
Composition originale.
Très amicalement.

Hi Wes!
Nice view onto the skyline of Long Beach. The right side of your photograph give a good contrast to grey/blue left side. The walkway guides to the center of your composition. It seems very nice to live in one of those house direct to the beach!?
Cheers, Thorsten

I can underestand the beautiful space ther,in fron of a nice sea and with a humidity which we see in this kind of places,...well captured and great real colors and contrast and a fine perspective, too.
In point of composition it's simple, could be stronger,Wes!...for example, cropping a bit from bottom(almost 1/6 height),in fact,it was better that you change you angle a bit upward, and level the bottom just from white pillar in right and more from top with palms and building,...(oh!my poor english, sorry,Wes)
still,I like it,surely.
nicely done and thanks for sharing.
Yours
M

Hi Wes,
What a beautiful long picture, excellent depth and large perspective, also the two parts in this photo, the wonderful buildings to the right side but also the industrial part on the background.
Excellent composition,
John.

I like the placement of the leading line of the ledge, it serves as a strong divide between the beach and buildings. What a place to live!

Hi wes,
Marvellous composition. The closed front on the right. All that houses with different shapes and colors and than the contrast with the quiet beach, the sea and the silhouette of the town at the horizon.
Seems to me a nice place to live.

Very nice perspective keeping the houses to the right and in strong contrast to the wide seascape. Nice to include the distant skyline. Nice depth and colours. Well done!

Hi Wes. Very good beach shot in which the wooden border of the walkway provides a great leading line into a deep perspective. Also, the gentle curve of the beach towards the downtown area visible in the background is well conveyed. Well captured.

Oh - Some how do I believe to have seen this place before - but never in this angle and without people - I like the mix of sandy beach and the special seaside walk - thanks Wes for sharing this sight with us - I like it very much.

Hi Wes. Your framing here is about as good as it gets and I can't see anything I'd do different. I especially like the palm tree in the middle. The colors seem realistic, which I like. This place reminds me of Atlantic City which is another place I have pics of. Another good one Wes!!

Very good photo Wes, love the contrast of colors between the buildings, walkway, sand and the sky.
Very good depth and sharpness.
I think that cropping a little bit from the bottom is not going to change much. I prefer the way it is.
Well done.

Hi Wes
It looks like the houses are built too close to the water. But superb sharpness, color, lighting, & saturation. Good work!

Good afternoon Wes!
Excellent scenery with good perspective. Nice colors, especially the white of the balkonies, contrasting with the sky and the palms. I think the composition is very good and the long sidewalk is giving the great depth of the field!! Congratulations.

hi wes, an exellent composition here, so simple yet conveying the name "long beach" or actually its first part, in a very clever way;
i like it a lot;
best wishes, jerzy

I like the way that the wooden walkway has a real crooked railway. Perhaps from the sand and wind and pressure. Nice shot. I have been here one summer years ago and my goodness was the sand ever super hot. Nice view. How much do the little cottages cost to buy? I bet the price is way up there.
