Photographer’s Note

Enjoy the sailing in Pacific Ocean, close to coast of Long Beach.
It was calm early in the morning. It began to have sea breeze around 10:30am. Many sail boats came out of marina entering the open ocean. The was one of them.

Nice composition. The sailing boat on the open ocean under full sails give dynamic to your photograph. I hope you had a great trip, too?!

great use of a classic composition,it works well here,fine colors ,beautiful and I can feel movement of the boat,nicely captured and I like it.

Hi Wes! A nice daily life ocean shot. The one thing that could be better is the look of the ocean water. I tried and tried to get a better result in Photoshop but to no avail. Did you crop this shot out a great deal from the original? I like all of the colors including the blues on the water it is just the textures on the water that look a little chunky. But it looks like you had some great light for the shot. Still another nice one from you Mr. Wes!

Nice boat shot again, but I found the contrast a little bit too high, and the sharpness not so good, but the framing is very nice.

well framed, Wes. Great blue color tone overall. That's the most distinguishing in my opinion.
I also had the curiosity of the Stephan about the crop and I read your response. So that's why the pixelation effects are somewhat visible. From that big distance, it is hard to show the texture.

I like Sea, fishing, boats and capture the water element, so I'm here now for critique.

I like the capture and the way you capture. Very deep blue ocean and the boat sailing from left to right. You captured well the mouvement.

Ha Summer!You are already there.Here people are only getting their boat ready by removing the canvas.They won't put their boat in the water before 2 or 3 weeks.It looks a peaceful day out there.Well done

Cool photo! Were you also sailing here? Again a very sunny photo with nice colours, although the contrasts are maybe a bit high, the white parts of the boat are maybe a bit harsh.
