"Here lies Lester Moore,
killed by 4 slugs from a 44,
Above the hydropower equipment in this view is the Bodie Cemetery in the distance. The small white dots are tombstones. There were many more, but vandals have stolen most of them.
The metal mining equipment in the image includes a Pelton Wheel (the big guy). Invented by Lester Allan Pelton in the 1870s, the Wheel extracts energy from moving water, with it's rim running at half the speed of the water jet, it left the wheel at very little speed, extracting almost all of the water's impulse energy.

I think this is not just a cemetery. These rusty old equipments could be some decoration for the advertising photos of something, as a background. For a contrast.
Anyway, I like this place, these wheels can give us a lot of ideas for the original photos.

Hi RAy, Amazing big machinery from Bodioe. It looks not so rusty as many other objects there. Interesting cemetery in a distance.
