The Yakovlev Yak-3 (Russian language: Яковлев Як-3) was a World War II Soviet fighter aircraft. Robust and easy to maintain, it was much liked by pilots and ground crew alike. It was one of the smallest and lightest major combat fighters fielded by any combatant during the war, and its high power-to-weight ratio gave it excellent performance. It proved a formidable dogfighter. (From Wikipedia)

A very interesting shot of Yak-3. I wouldn't expect to see such on a Californian air show. Not a familiar model to me in any way.
Well timed shot with the aircraft just making a steep curve towards you.

An excellent capture of this fine old fighter, Very well done indeed that I can see the pilot and credit to such good clarity achieved. A great action capture with the tilt, the colour scheme with speck of bright colours to trigger the eye. But that all important prop blur is there showing the dynamics. Lovely image of the ultimate aircraft. Well done, TFS

Great! One my friend prepares an atricle about the Yaks for a local magazine (with some my photos of Yak-52).
As always, excellent photo, perfect quality! Thanks!

great fighter, great pic.
this nimble but powerful combo made it a fearsome fighter in the air, and feared as well.
always look forward to your aircraft photos, well done all around
