Photographer’s Note

In the 1880s, a Sacramento newsman compared Lake Tahoe's sapphire depths to bluing solution, so astonishing was the color. Mark Twain said Lake Tahoe's air was pure enough for angels. Clear sky and water still startle the senses here, especially when you spend the day close to the shore, like on theRubicon Trail connecting D.L. Bliss State Park to Emerald Bay.

A perfect balanced image..
The tree stands well in frame, adding the beauty.
Blue is dreamy , so is that brushing of white clouds..

Hi Vincent,
I was last year at Lake Tahoe city and while driving the other day a large part along the lake i really enjoyed the beauty of it. Although the trees are a bit to centered for me and missing the top i like the overal mood in colour toning and contrast you created here. The deep blue water really shines and is giving perfect contrast to the blue sky...very nice.

When I saw the sapphire blue and those pines on the thumbnail I thought this was going to be Crater Lake in Oregon. The colours really are remarkable. You have also captured the rippled water very well giving it an interesting texture. Well done

ces couleurs fortes et saturées sont fabuleuses,le contraste entre le vert des arbres et le bleu qui l'entoure est géant!le point de vue est à couper le souffle!la qualité de la photo est si belle qu'on peut admirer la texture du nuage blanc tout au fond dela photo,ainsi que chaque petite vagues à la surface de l'eau.Une photo qui m'enchante!

Cette ambiance bleue est presque enivrante. Même la roche semble s'y mettre sur la gauche. On se laisse emporter et du coup, les arbres sont presque de trop...

What a gorgeous view over the lake with these many small waves. The addition of the two trees is excellent and they are placed very well in the composition. The clouds in the background look wonderful too and the very blue sky enhances. Well captured!

Bonjour Vincent -

You have captured the air and water of Lake Tahoe perfectly. I see you were here recently, did you have any problems with the forest fire that consumed large tracts of the western shore of the lake? I am not sure I like the idea of the tree tops being cut off but this is still a splendid image.

Très intéressante la note. C'est vrai, la couleur de l'eau est incroyable, la netteté de l'atmosphere et la pureté de la lumière sont superbes. J'aime bien ta composition, l'arbre et les rochers comme avant-plan pour diriger nôtre regard vers l'ample horizon. La nuage est surprénante! C¡est très belle!

Je trouve surprenant combien tu as peu d'angle ici a 10mm... je n'arrive pas a estimer la taille exacte mais je suppose que tout ce que je vois dans le cadre est tres grand. Sinon pour tout faire rentrer il reste l'uuuultra grand angle, 3 photos verticales assemblees avec autostitch. Tres beaux contrastes et couleurs riches dans cette vue.

Le contraste des tons verts des arbres du premier plan et les tons bleus du lac et du ciel il est parfait. La lumière et les ombres ajoutent encore un plus de beauté a la compo.

Lake Tahoe is absolutely unique. Having been there several times, I reckon I can say this is one of the very best pictures I've ever seen of it.
The light and the colors are 100% Lake Tahoe's, it doesn't get photographically any better than this.
