Photographer’s Note

This image is not a sunset but a Sunrise, representing to me the hope today with the inauguration of Barack Obama.

As the world turns each day, the darkness is replaced by the light of a new sun, bringing warmth and a new start.

This image was shot on Fuji Velvia positive film and later scanned, which is why the resolution is low. And I did not increase the color saturation. What the naked eye saw then was even more dramatic.

Lake Tahoe is one of my favorite places for sunrises and sunsets, and this day the conditions were excellent.

Looks like we had similar thoughts today... Like I always say: great minds think alike. ;o)
Awesome colours! There seems to be a slight tilt but that's just a tiny little detail that can be neglected.
