As The Day Goes By Photo

Photographer’s Note

Summer has just begun and the heat is already rising quickly, heading out to the beach to cool down and take a few snapshots. This is taken at Heisler Park in Laguna Beach, California. Last shot of that evening as the day light vanished and the street light came on.

Someone once told me, “No matter how bright you shine, there always someone above shitting over you.” This image reminded of that saying and depicted it very well.

Hello Way,
another wonderful shot, with a pretty simple compo which works truly well and it's very effective. The blue hour is wonderfully contrasted by the street lamp and its warm light. The perfect choice to place the lamp off center left plenty of room to the seagull to look..where?..maybe at the horizon but the fact I don't know where is he looking just added a beautiful mood. I like it!

How simple, but how nice. It's the yellow glow against the blue what makes the shot, but also the gull on top and your placement in the frame. A simple, but well thought picture...i like this.

Sometime, the most simple things are the most precious.

This photo is sublime. You've catch an original "beach scene", something out of the ordinary. The orange glow is beautiful against this blue night sky. Interesting to see that you didn't overexposed the lamp part or end out with a strong halo that would have take out the quality of your image. Everything is nice, balanced and well exposed.

A simple compo, but so graphical. I love the overall blue tones and the splash of yellow coming from the lamp. It would have already been good without the gull, but the presence of the birds makes it just perfect!

very good eye! I like this one, the composition is very nice and the blue hour adds a lot to the picture, I also very like the warm color of the lamp and these seagulls are really all over the coast and something they can be pretty annoying, but this one made a good motive in front of your lens, a nice shot!

This is an excellent image. The minimal, simple composition is what elevates this one for me. The placement of the lamp and bird facing into the frame is absolutely perfect. The exposure on that lamp is very impressive as well.

This is another one of those "Less is More" photo, reminiscence of the famous saying by a modern French architect, Le Corbusier. Perfect capture of the moment before the bird returns to its nest, with excellent lighting and sharpness. Just wondering if you could include your EXIF Data in your future posting.
