Photographer’s Note
Hi Everyone,
My name is Jay and this is my very first upload. I have to admit that I'm no pro, but I am having a lot of fun learning about this great hobby. I think I'm hooked! :)
This shot was taken in Laguna Beach, one of my favorite places in Southern California.
I haven't yet mastered the art of composition, so I really look forward to your feedback. Feel free to create a workshop. The more the better.
Jay

Hello Jay
Welcome to TE
Hope you will learn and have fun, as much as I did and still doing.
Composition is very good, with the diagonal presentation of the rocky beach and rocks.
You will need to strenghten the horizon with photoshop, and start using a tripod with a head that includes a level, and using a second level that you can insert in the flash shoe.
Also, the sky has more light then the foreground. To equilibrate this, you will need filters,NDgrad , probably 3-stops(ND=neutral density)
Also,ISO 100 is a good choice.
With the tripod, you will be able to choose f/22, for a good depth of field, and tihis will ensure a slower speed and will bring good waves effect.I like the coming wave and the receding water from the beach.
A very good choice for special effect.
Wishing you a good year
Charles
