Cherry Blossom, a photo from California, West

Photographer's Note

Cherry Blossoms in bloom at Descanso Gardens. An urban garden open to the public built on an estat and surrounded by hills, canyons of oak trees and chapparel. The garden looks so different than when I was there in the fall. Different trees and flowers are in bloom at this time. The park also has a lake but I haven't explored that area yet. I believe the park is about 160 acres.

Hello Karen,

the photo seems to me rather small sized ... but anyway, you did a quite good job! The composition and the sharpness are really good; the blurred background and the diagonal fence fit well.

Hello Karen.
Love this fine capture with shallow focus and finely rendered bokeh. Colors are fantastic and natural in pleasant lighting.

I wish we have cherry trees in Southern Nevada, unfortunately they don't do too well in the desert. Awesome capture of this beautiful flowers. I like the angle of the lighting. Wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.

This works well, you are smart technically spot on with the composition while we get to enjoy the full bloom. The small areas of bright vivid reds add to the stunning contrast as strong anchor to the picture with its textures and solidity in its natural colors. The lighting is manageable and the blurry bg has further enhanced the effect very well, Congrats.

Hi Karen,

Beautiful shot. Because of the red round buds, and I thought you have the cherries together with the blossome :) It is really beautiful the combination of red buds and white bloosome. In addition the green are out too. Usually the green leave come after the blossom is over.
