Japanese Garden at Descanso, a photo from California, West

The Japanese Gardens at Descanso Gardens are in full bloom with Cherry Blossoms and camelias. The gardens boast that over 500,000 camelias are planted on the grounds and it surely seeems like it as they are massively high like trees and in abundance growing underneath the oak canopy.
Here we see the cherry blossoms in bloom in the Japanese Garden and in two weeks times the Gardens will host a Cherry Blossom Festival.
Boddy, an entrepreneur and newspaperman, named his estate near Los Angeles, "Rancho del Descanso". The gardens mission is "to cultivate understanding of the natural world and peoples' place in it through inspiration, education and example." (www.descansogardens.org). The estate is a 160 acre public garden open 7 days a week.

Hi dear Karen, how are you?

Sorry for my long absense. While I was away, there are many your wonderful postings I will catch up as soon as possible. This is also very significant Spring image, seeming like to be taken in Japan. Nice vertical format selection, the suitable with this situation. So sharp and clear image as usual.
Now Sakura in Japan start opening, I guess 1 week more is full of SAKURA in Tokyo.

Hi agian,

Looks like spring has arrived in California. We certainly have it earlier here. I have been here later in the spring. What I really like are the rose garden, just about any kind of roses can be found here. This is lovely with the cherry blossoms.

Beautiful garden! Would love to see those flowers, I don't think I've seen Cherry blossoms before. Nicely captured with good lighting and dof with nice details. Wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.
