I CAN'T WAIT !
While calmly going uphill sat on a chairlift, what a pleasure to watch other skiers and snowboarders going downhill, something I would do in a short period of time, living another kind of pleasure, full of adrenaline instead!
Watching those scenes or going downhill myself inspired me feelings that can be expressed by one single word: AWESOME!
Sometimes, the chairflift seemed to be going too slow (even though that could be good for taking some pictures during the ride) and thoughts like "I can't wait till getting up there to ski one more time!" would
go thru my mind all the time!

Happy Easter !
Like to be the first to comment this very good capture, quite understand what you felt going up but you did a great work placing the chairlift and the shadows on the right
The vertical frame helps to give deepness
Greetings and TFS

This is supposed to be a color photo, but it looks very much B&W to me. Not that it matters, because this fine composition is very much about its strong graphic effect, and colors wouldn't have made any great change. The five snowboarders spread out along the almost white ground form a fine pattern, and the person going through the air, eager to join them, complements the view very nicely.

I like the inclusion of the ski lift here and the way the skiers are scattered across the frame along with their shadows. Light, colours and sharpness are all to my taste.

This is a brilliantly framed winter sports shot, the chairlift and its shadows bring in so much interest and dynamic to the shot.
Is it only me or is it that in the US snowboard seems to be even stronger than over here in Europe? I can see only boarders on the slope here.
Ah, the skiing season is soon over for this winter, I am waiting already for next season to start again.

This angle looking down was perfect.
Lake Tahoe is beautiful all four seasons.
Thanks for sharing.

great title for this cleverly constructed image. Works so well in B&W too. Live the textures and the shadows, an excellent realisation. Well done!

Judicious use of black and white for this ski situation. That strengthens the footsteps of the skiers.

This is a nice angle captured with anticipation of being uphill. The activities on the slope are in good details and love the contrast and saturation of this b+w shot.
Thanks and have a nice day.

this picture is fantastic. You have captured the delightful action along the slope with marvellous depth and clarity in a very elegant composition. I love the point of view at the chairlift, the inclusion of the lonely passenger ahead and the intriguing shadows. I also love the grey scale, the strong contrasts, the subtle lighting on the slope in the upper left part of the frame and the intricate traces that speak of the action and fun on the snow. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great weekend,

enveredando pelo PB? Gostei basante dessa foto. Acho que eu ficaria com frio na espinha de andar nesse teleférico (ou qualquer outro que fique com as pernas penduradas). Gostei das pessoas diminutas dando boa noção da altura.

I really can get your enthusiasm here. Perfect place and POV to make a different and exciting photo. I love the gradual change to a darker icy ground at the top left corner. A photo with so many leyers and depth...
