June Lake in addition to being a fine spot to swim, boat, fish, camp, hiking, and relax is a good 'base-camp' for exploring the Eastern Sierra Nevada.
There are hotels and other campgrounds on the June Lake loop road. From here within less than an hour, to the north is the Tioga Pass Road to the Yosemite High Country, Mono Craters, Mono Lake, Bodie Ghost Town, etc., And to the south is the Mammoth Lakes area with numerous lakes and adventures awaiting.

I am missing the summer and we are waiting for the hot days too. Very provocative photo, I like this picturesque nature, good place for relax indeed. I see the gulls are very happy, they can get some food, for example.

nice the view of the people that enjoy near the lake so close to the lake waters.I like this section of the picturesque place, with the light and the colour management to be superb.

People enjoying the views with some white seagulls enjoying the lake
A sunny capture with impressive mountains at the back
Like the colors given by the umbrellas
May be the image is a bit lilted to the right?

This is magnificent scene, with the cool waters of June Lake beckoning. Yosemite, to me, provides the single most beautiful scenery in the country, and I see from your note that June Lake is in the same general area.

Hello Ray, my TE neighbour today.
Beautiful lake between mountains with the seagulls joining the fun.
People along the coast "fill" across picture space, in a most vivid tone.
One lady just pulled up her shorts, saw you maybe?...
merely my humor, Ray.

For me, this is an odd sight. I don't see beaches on Irish lakes, at least not ones you would sit at and enjoy the sun, they are all too overgrown and windswept! unusual sight to my eyes, and one with a brilliant combination of everyday fun, and majestic backdrop.
thanks as always

The foreground shows a scene like many Europeans imagine that California is, thinking at the beaches of the Pacific, perhaps rather those in southern California.
At the other side of the lake we see an impressive Rocky Mountains scenery, complete with pine forests, high mountains and eternal snow.
The combination is very beautiful and June Lake looks fantastic with its green water.
The red parasol, an eye-catcher, adds more colour to the picture.
Certainly a wonderful place, excellently presented to us.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Ray, Very nice beach with the splendid view. Not so many people in the water, so probably it is rather cold. Beautiful landscape. I check on the Google map, in Lee Vining I was only 13 miles from there.
Warm regrads MAlgo

This is the first photo in ages I've seen from you where there are crowds. Personally I prefer the solitude, but this is an idyllic scene of campers by the lake. Vivid colours and contrasts and a nicely composed shot.
Thanks for sharing, have a great day
