Shot near dusk, I tried to frame the ocotillo as not to dominate the scene, but in this stark, beautiful place it was not easy to just make this appear subtle, so I just took advantage of the sidelight.

Hi MIchael,
I like this shot! I like the warm sunset light...providing the landscape witht these brown-orange tones.
I like the endless landscape....with a strip of road leading to...nowhere..or somewhere!
well done

hi Michael,
most amazing golden red light, it would make any scene look great, but here the thorns and deserted road create almost hellish mood, I'm sure Lynch would appreciate :) I like a lot the gradient sky, it obviously could not resist turning slightly red at the horizon. excellent photo, my compliments.
with best regards,
Kristine

Hi Michael
great sun light. I like the perspective and the depth in this shot. The mountains in the Bg are perfect. very nice colours and composition.
have a nice weekend

Nice composition Michael. The plant, which I guess is the ocotillo, makes an excellent, slightly threatening foreground for this endless landscape, and road to who knows where.
I also like the shadows cutting across the road like a sound graph, a bar code or a colour histogram.
Regards
Colin
Great sunset lighting and exceptional detail. Nice framing and shadows. Ocotillo is one of the great flora of the desert southwest.
