Photographer's Note
Joshua Tree National Park. About 2 hours east from Los Angeles. I happened to be there couple of times and I have to say it was an amazing experience to see the desert in the spring after "rainy" winter (means there were couple of days with rain) and be able to compare the same place as seen at any other time. Desert changes a lot. Everything is blooming, including Joshua Trees themselves (see the photo).
Joshua Tree NP was the first desert which I experienced, may be that is why it is my favorite National Park. I really recommend it. It is full of surprises, spectacular landscapes and vegetation.
This is a scan from negative.

Hi Mariusz,
The blue sky is very nice here as it add good contrast to the almost overexposed background. This is a good minimalist composition. The details on the tree and the barren background make for an appealing scene. Nice work Mariusz :-)

Czesc Mariusz,
Niezly, egzotyczny widoczek. Ciekawe miejsce, ladnie pokazane. Troszke za mocne swiatlo dalo o sobie odczuc zwlaszcza w dolnych partiach zdjecia ale za to niebo bombowe. Mi sie podoba.
Pozdrawiam,
Darek

Hi Mariusz,
Wonderful shot. I love the contrast of the blue sky with the green of the tree and the whiteish blossoms. The road in the background adds a dynamic element. The light is a bit hard but that often happens in the Southwest, I guess. After all, you can't sit in your motel room all day and only take pictures in the morning and late afternoon. ;o)
I visited Joshua Tree NP in 1998 but didn't see any trees in bloom - maybe I wasn't looking hard enough... I've been wanting to revisit this park for a while but so far it just didn't happen. Maybe next time... Shots like this sure make me want to go there!
Thanks for sharing, best wishes
Claudia

Hi Mariusz
Fine view of the blooming Joshua tree. Despite the over-exposed areas we can see excellent details
TFS and have a nice day

Bonsoir Mariusz
très bon cadrage et belle luminosité sur cet arbre. J'aime la sensation de chaleur qui se dégage de l'image.

Hi,
Even though this is an older shot and scan from film, It certainly looks much better than some that are taken with the newer and better digital camera. I was here in march and it was still somewhat cold but a very enjoyable trip, and lot of beautiful rock formation, more than the Joshua Tree themself.
Thanks.

A unique tree, well shown with desert scenery, Mariusz.
Clearity was super, along with bright light, and we can see every thorne separatly.
Amazing nature,
Ike
