Photographer's Note
Convict Lake and the surrounding Eastern Sierra Nevada have served well as movie locations, especially westerns; notably In How the West Was Won - opening scene with James Stewart as a mountain man, and Nevada Smith - with Brian Keith teaching Steve McQueen cards, poker.
Today one may walk around the Lake's perimeter and find numerous relaxing and scenic spots.
In winter it is a fine place to cross country ski.

Hi Ray,
Beautiful colours, and a rich reflection of them too. From the thumbnail, I thought this was actually ice with some lighting on it because of the shape of the trees. The soft ripple of the water is really pleasing.
All the best
Noel

G'day Ray,
Snap to Noel's comment I actually opened this expecting those to be iced over trees - I guess because they are so lightly coloured and not vivid green. Lovely capture of the reflections on the lake and I really like the way the trees and their reflections stand out well against the darker background of the water and hills
Nice shot, tfs

Dear ConvictRay
Beautiful tight framing, lovely warm golden and silver colours/ The trees make an extraordinary texture and those reflections have been rendered superbly.
Warm regards
Lisa
