Hello Jim,
Superb shot of the General Sherman tree. It deserves to be presented somewhat larger; something you can do by saving it in Photoshop at quality 9 on a scale of 12, or even lower. (Maintain the height at 800 pixels, but save it at a lower quality, that is virtually imperceptible.) Recently, while visiting Cambridge, MA (to give a talk at Harvard), I was listening to a local radio station. A question was posed, what element accounts for the weight of the tree. My guess was that it was the Oxygen in the water. The correct answer turns out to be Carbon.
Informative note accompanying the photo. Warm regards from Virginia,

Great shot Jim, and a good note to go with it. Being so far from home these days it is really nice to see some of it here on TE, thanks.
Greg
