Photographer’s Note
The Cataract Falls Trail is another one of my favorite hikes in Marin County, California. After a few weeks of rain this trail (although a bit strenous) is completely magical to me. I'm a sucker for cascading, frothing water meandering its way through rocks, fallen trees, and the like. This trail gives me all of that and more.

Hello mike,
I whish you an happy new year.
I like the water theme, so I like your picture despite the lack of light you had to do it. The long time exposure gives nice effect on water. I like also your framing.
Best regards

Mike,
Great composition here with nice color and lighting. You have excellent DOF and sharpness with the high f-stop setting. Your slow shutter speed creates a very nice effect on the moving water.
Happy New Year,
Asa

This is a beautiful composition Mike. The water looks amazing. I love the inclusion of the wooden bridge in the background. The moss, ferns and other greenery look glorious. Excellent.
Cheers,
Debbie

Hi Mike, thanks for drawing my attention to this unknown place to me. The composition and long time exposure really made it worth to be posted, however I think that you will have to go back there again to get some sunlight breaking through the dense forest. That will give more impact to the otherwise flawless shot.
Regards, Peter
