I wish they all could be California girls

The West coast has the sunshine
And the girls all get so tanned...

Perhaps you remember the Beach Boys song about California girls. This was taken in Fairfax before the big parade I spoke of recently. The gorgeous old Ford pickup truck is parked regularly in front of M&G Drive-in where they sell, you guessed it, burgers, shakes and fries...good old American fare. Now if this were a real drive-in rather than a usually busy street in Fairfax, this shapely young woman would be a carhop taking an order. In fact, she is the wife of the man driving the truck and they are the proud owners of this drive-in. I couldn't resist taking this photo, but not simply because of the lovely woman, but because it is SO California, so Fairfax.

Old cars, suntanned girls, sunshine, surfboards, all says California well, yes I remember the song. My husband would be asking this girl to move so he could get a better view of the truck though! We all have our obsessions, his is cars, old cars, old FORD cars, to be specific. Lovely red color you've captured here. I like it! Oh....and btw, I like your updated personal profile.
