Photographer’s Note
This is the Old Town Music Hall in El Segundo, Ca. If you come to Los Angeles for a visit consider including this entertaining establishment on your agenda along with Disneyland and Universal Studios. It is truely a unique experience. The theater is the home of the "mighty wurlitzer" a pipe organ augmented with drums, bells, and every odd musical instrument you can think of. The program usually consists of a short organ concert, a "sing along", and then an old movie (many times a silent movie accompanied by organ music). Some Sundays they also have an evening music concert (they have 2 grand pianos too) usually consisting of ragtime. The theater is small enough where you can easily get within a few feet of the stage. For more information go to www.otmh.org.
The Old Town Music Hall is a nonprofit organization where the price of admission for the regular show is considerably less than the price of a movie ticket ($7). The Sunday evening concert costs considerably less than going to the Philharmonic Orchestra ($20).
