Photographer’s Note
I took this picture around 12:00PM in El Segundo, California. A burst of fire came out of a refinary factory in the city.
I tried to clone out the electricity pole, as shown in the WS. Then, I decided to keep the real scene.
Filtered, saturated, and slightly sharpened.

Hi Wes,
So you played the real photo-journalist. First the pictures than the rescue.
Well done. I think you wished to be a little closer.

I'm sorry about the fire, but the shot is impressive. Very high flames and dark smoke. I hope that firemen quenched the fire in a short time. Well done

Great action Wes!
I think you went too far setting this refinary into flames just to get this shot.
The light and colours are good for the purpose - quite gray, except for the flames.
Thanks,
Magnus

Hi Wes,
Thanx for this live report from California to show us the troubles overthere! I hope the fire wasn't as serious as it looks! Good picture and thanx for sharing!

Wes I feel like I'm watching the 6 o'clock news! You sure have an intense fireball here. I looked at the WS and I must say I'm impressed with how well you removed it using the clone too. I know how tedious it can be doing that and there's nary a hint of its removal. I'm assuming this is with your older camera. I do like the saturation too. In my neck of the woods it's raining the entire weekend! :( Very bad for picture taking!

Bonjour Wes
Le filtrage est un peu trop sharp, je remarque les contours sur le pylône électrique.
Cependant la composition est intéressante et pourrait faire partie des informations du journal local.
Hello Wes
Filtering is a little too sharp, I notice contours on the electric pylon. However the composition is interesting and could belong to the headlines information of the local newspaper.

Oh, almost like a newspaper. You were at the right time! I like actionshots like this. You didn't cause this fire just for a good shot, did you? ;)

This is when photographing is at it's very best, documenting history. You caught the action great when the fire burst out way over the rooftops.
Well done Wes
