Photographer’s Note
There on the right hand side, over the horizon, beyond those houses, is a little house that is just invisible in this frame, is a little house where I am sitting with my laptop. It is dark now, but a few hours earlier, just after sunset, the baloons were still floating in the sky, the row of pelicans were gliding by in silent wings, cormorants sat drying their dark wings on wooden posts along the estuary, the moon was still below the horizon, the incessant stream of cars on Interstate 5 that you see in the middle ground, like a curved luminous line, had taken shape from shades of gray into a lighted snake, white on one direction red on the other, never resting; too bad we cannot see the ocean any longer through the window behind my back...the trees on the street have grown tall in the past seven years so the barely visible blue mist on a sunny afternoon of those days is no more; but the ocean is there, waiting.

Fine image of your surroundings. The good thing about where you live is that it is full of beauty even in the midst of modern monstrosities. Fine image Animesh, I almost envy you.

Astonishingly 'different' photographic vision of the place. I tried to imagine this in color, or as a standard postcard, or as a graphical idea of some sorts and nothing can be compared with this unique approach.
Taste for presentation - impecable.
Highest class there is.
Wonderful photograph.

hi animesh,
with such a strong emotional approach this image is a eal treasure;
i can imagine me and most probably many many others being tempted to have it in fc, but no, this image CANNOT be in fc, it must remain as it is now, without any "fanciness", it must be all yours, animesh, all in highly contrasted world,

ahhh la maison Animesh seems to be in a very pretty place. nice shot man. I like how your bw treatment makes a introspective image out of such an obviously picturesque place. very nice.
Hope you're doing well!

Well, if one were looking for drama, or that cinematic moment I'm so fond of in my garish pics, LOL! one would be disappointed here...but you move to your own drum, Master Ray, and as one settles into this scene, the tranquility of it, the longing that's there at the wane of day, listening to your poetic telling of the circumatances of your world,(I would almost say your "Exile", forgive me), then it gains in power until one must admit to being grateful for such a fine moment you afforded us all.
Best,
Francis

Hi animesh, interesting to discover this place, I like to see the baloon and the bird's touch, intersting different tonality in the layers...
