Photographer’s Note
Even Death Valley comes alive in the spring time. Depending on how much rain it gets in the winter, the valley can actually be very colorful with various wildflowers and green vegetation.
Following the last post, this is taken the day after, on our way to the Race Track 2 and half hours long on the bumpiest dirt road I have even driving on, it was a very cloudy with occasional sunshine. I was here twice in the past one in May and once in November, I don’t remember it being this green, and there were even some wild flowers along the side of the roads. It was surprisingly beautiful, while the sun peeks through the clouds. I stop to take a few shots of the landscape with some green and nice mountain and clouds. It’s not a very typical color of Death Valley.
Happy Spring time and a good weekend!

Hi Way,
I'm almost on my way into the weekend but I just couldn't pass this one without commenting.
I really love your low POV here, highlighting the beautiful vegetation and those colourful rocks. If not for those hills in the background, I wouldn't have recognized this for Death Valley!
Great job, thanks for sharing.
Have a great weekend, best wishes

Hi Way,
Great relationship between that red-colored cactus and the green surrounding it. I really enjoy the foreground and those clouds hugging the mountains. I'd never suspect a place like this to be Death Valley but I bet it can sure look different in the peak summer months.
Cheers!

you are definitely an expert for west part of the country. I just refreshed my memory with some great photos.
You did not have much to start, but your composition made this photo great looking and very colorful. I hope you did not move all those beautiful stones.
Thanks!

Way,
You took advantage of a unique opportunity to catch the desert in bloom here! That was some extreme good fortune, for you and for all of us, too. I don't believe I have ever seen it like this, I lived in San Diego for almost 9 years and went to the desert many times, but seldom saw flowers and even less often saw green. Beautiful capture, nice pov and super sharp photograph. Congratulations!
Have a great weekend!

Hello Way,
Interesting to see the typical desert vegetation come alive and colourful!
The low point of view is wise and exposes the fine colours including the rocks...
A balanced composition with good details, and the image has a fine feeling of depth!

Hello Way! Rain clouds in Death Valley, what a special treat for a photographer, not many see it this way. I love your stingy foreground with the colorful stones, how nice. Yes the desert lives and yet you have to watch it carefully, it does not spring into your eyes just like that, this kind of beauty is very often hidden and I am sure that many walk over it without seeing these fragile flowers on the cactus sometimes blooming for some hours only. So nice. Enjoy your Sunday ... whatever you are up too. Barbara.

Hi, Way. The contrast between the colours in the foreground and the brown hills and grey peaks is striking. The plants in the foreground give a good depth to the image. I also like the variety of colours of the rocks.
Have a nice day,

Hello Way,
Nice and punchy foreground you got here! Love how sparkling it is.
The clouds in the distance are looking like giving that desert a little bit of hope. But I've seen rolling clouds in Khartoum, Sudan at night as well and little rain out of them. No idea where they go ;-).

Hi Way
I can believe it can be green after visiting Central Australia a couple of days after it rained. Although I guess I'll see the opposite in DV. I like the details of the bushes and stones in the foreground as the forms and colours are so varied. The light is pretty and the scenery contrasts nicely against the clouds.

Hello Way,
this is a very beautiful impression of the desert, and there are two very interesting features: the amazing light that illuminates the objects in FG and the lovely clouds that seem to sail over the mountains. Very beautiful colors and an excellent management of the light. Congratulation!

Hello Way -
This desert can be really beautiful when the conditions line up properly. I like this scene for several reasons; The cactus in the FG (color and texture), the layering of elements into the scene, and the dramatic sky conditions. Well done! This might be a candidate for printing and framing.
Thank you for sharing.
