Photographer’s Note
My first photo from Fuji Finepix A700. Handheld, no flash.
A tradition in Chico is Christmas Preview. Weekend before Thanksgiving entire downtown is closed to vehicle traffic and all the stores display their marchendise to town people with a great style. Shops windows are given to local dance schools to display their students and their skills. Here you see one such moment.Chico community Ballet students performing in front of some appreciating crowd.
Cropped, saturation enhanced.

Hi Pranab,
This photo can be made into a nice Christmas card. It has really interesting subject matter and there doesn't seem to be any empty space that is distracting. Good lighting. All elements support each other well.

Hello Pranab,
A very well composed presentation, this point of view works so well!
The atmosphere is well captured, and the watching children of course make this image...
Congrats with the new camera!

Hi Pranab. Nice one for a hand held in these conditions, and a lovely composition. There's a bit of noise, as you would expect in dim light with no flash, the camera no doubt compensating with high ISO, but the colour, light and content make it irrelevant. You did really well to get it as clear as it is. I like the way the blonde girl is looking at the others, and their obvious fascination with the performance inside the shop. A terrific pre-Christmas image.

Andrew

Hi Pranab
I hope you are coming to terms with your new camera. A nice shot to start off with featuring a beautiful scene with these children. I like the colours and subtle tones. It seems almost like a painting. Good pov and framing.

Hi Pranab,
I see you are already enjoying your advanced Christmas gift :) And you chose a nice view to test it, I like the attitude of the kids towards what's going inside this shop window.
Nice light and colours and a beautiful atmosphere.

Hi Pranab - wonderful shot, I ask myself whether Chico really exists or is a creation of yours, well, maybe both. Nice colors and tones there, maybe also looks good in B&W. Best regards my friend, Daniel

Hi Pranab.
Interesting but I think than a wrong photo. You didn't get a good sharpness, and that's a pity because could be a fantastic picture as is a fantastic scene.

Hi Pranab,
Congratulations for the new camera!!!
I also upgraded to Canon S2-IS.
This is nice shot without using tripod. Do you use Auto mode or set ISO+shutter speed manually?
Thanks for sharing.

I love these kind of photos taken behind people looking at something. In this case we are reminded of the wonder of Christmas to a child. I like how the light from the window is highlighting the children's hair and the expression of the little girl on the left as if she is being excluded. Vey well controlled exposure especially for hand held.

Olá Pranab, this is a wonderful scene, with the girls obviously fascinated by what is happening behind the window. They are problably dreaming with their future...
Excelent composition and good colors, although I'm not sure about the lack of sharpness due to the increase of saturation.
Well captured!

The festive mood is well created in the shot. The gestures of those kids are interesting. The atmosphere can be felt very well from the shot. I would like a little more sharpness, even though i like this one with this warm blurred shot. The lights are very well managed TFS
