Photographer’s Note

Taste of Chico:
As I walk around among the throng of people, eating, socializing I find Steve the wire man. He uses different shapes of wires and within minutes makes wonderful artwork. You can see some of his works on display on the background.
It was a windy day so it was really hard for me to capture or compose a good shot with the tent, under which Steve was sitting as it kept moving. So here I present the shot as it was taken.

This is a well composed image, well depicting both the artist and his artwork!
I agree his works seems to be very good, the figures are full of life which I will imagine is quite a difficult achievement with this material...

Very nice capture and I like the effect of the shapes and designs in the background. They add a nice contrast to the workman in the foreground and the colour contrast works well too. This is a good daily life shot.

Pranab,
In your very well framed shot the wire sculptures almost look like pen & ink drawings they are so mobile; perhaps the moving tent adds to the effect. The artist's intense concentration is perfectly framed in the lower corner of your work. The low angle of light enhances detail and color. Pat

Those wireworks look like drawings! Extraordinary method of working. The shot captures his concentration and I like the lighting with a bit of sun striking him as he works. Good composition to show his finished pieces against the white background. You're showing some good daily life shots which give one some idea of what Chico is like.
