One of the trickiest part of bullriding is dismounting. Here after the rider got thrown off the bull, he was vulnarable to the attack from the bull. The two clowns, who are there to entertain the crowd and skillfully distract the bull if necessary, are doing their job. One clown is trying to get the bull's attention to himself so that his fellow clown will have enough time to help the rider get away to safety.
