Photographer’s Note
This is the crypt of Franciscan Priest Junipero Sera. He died in 1784 as was beatified in 1987. He founded a string of missions along the California coast and the one where he is interred is at Carmel. This mission was one stop of many on a two-week trip of Northern California. We had allotted an hour or so to see the place and found that was not sufficient. From a religious or historic point of view the mission at Carmel is worth the time to stop and see it.

Love the subject!
There are a couple things that I think could improve this image - for some reason it seems to lean toward me as I look at it. I'm also distracted by the people on the sides, so I wonder if a bit of straightening and cropping could help?
I'm posting a workshop to show what I'm thinking of!
Regardless - I love the subject, colors, and composition. Well spotted!
