Hummingbird at Work, a photo from California, West

Photographer's Note

Identifying birds is not my stong point, even with the help of websites, but I might have this narrowed down to two possibilities: it might either be a Costa's hummingbird or an Anna's hummingbird. Both are found along California's central coast and match the description of this guy.

Canon 400mm f2.8 lens w/ 2x teleconverter.

Hello Gregory,

I like your nature photos a lot. This one is really nicely composed with the four vertical red flowers and the green bird which was in an excellent position. The blurred dark grey background is a perfect contrast.
