Photographer's Note

Hello all,
Burney Falls is at MacArthur-Burney Memorial State Park and is within the "Cascade Range and Modoc Plateau natural region, with forest and five miles of streamside and lake shoreline, including a portion of Lake Britton."(http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=455)
The falls are 129 ft. tall and flow from springs and a river above it. It was created from volcanic activity and from weather and erosion from streams.
The park is about 6 miles from the northern California town of Redding and is forested all around. Easy to reach on trails with a foot path along the stream this is a great place to go for camping or day picnicking or hiking.
This view is taken from the footpath. I took a few photos closer to the falls but I like this one best.
