Photographer's Note
Bodie State Historical Park is administered by the California State Parks - reference: www.parks.ca.gov.
Everything is protected and the once thriving mining camp is preserved in a state of "arrested decay".
Located northeast of Yosemite National Park via Highway 120 - Tioga Pass Road (closed in winter), and 13 miles east of Highway 395, on Highway 270 (Bodie Road). A good base camp to visit Bodie would be the nearby small town of Lee Vining on Hwy 395.

Hi Ray,
Great choice for black and white, which suits the eerie feel of this place, and great levels of contrast. Nice to see so many of the buildings in the image too, a very nice abandoned cityscape!
All the best

This is just a great shot, Ray - could be a glass plate straight out of the 1870s, given both the style and the subject matter. Bodie is a place I very much want to visit someday - hopefully the next time I'm out in CA I'll make my way there, as well as to Sacramento. Really nice work here, and I'm sorry this hasn't gotten the attention it deserves!
Andrew
