Bodie is a California State Park and perhaps America's finest ghost town? In this view is a Dodge Graham 1921 pickup truck. The Dodge Brothers founded their company in 1900 producing precision engine and chassis parts for Ford and the Olds Motor vehicle companies. In 1914 the Dodge brothers started building their own vehicles to compete against the hugely popular Ford Model T. Dodge added to their new motor company trucks built by the Graham Brothers of Evansville, Indiana. Eventually Dodge Motors would be sold to the Chrysler Corporation in 1928.

Haha, i remember well this old truck and gas station in Bodie. Nice shot from this fine ghost town. Nicely composed and good colours.

a great flashback ! The fine composition of the picture helps to convey a time long past.
I'm old enough to remember this kind of Shell gasoline station (in France and in Switzerland, after the World war). You did the pumping manually until the glass was full, then you emptied the contents passively into your tank.
Thanks for presenting the picture on TE.
Best regards Dietrich

That truck is the star of the shot, and really well kept for its age too. I never knew that Dodge was a part of Chrysler. Looks like a perfect setting for a ghost town, the backdrop is very barren and desolate looking. Cool shot, thanks
All the best

Such an Americanesque scene. I don't think you could make it look more American if you tried. Al the elements are there: the dusty, sun-dried colours of the hills, the strong colours of the old truck and signage and lovely textures of the old houses and roof.
Nice work, have a good week
