Photographer’s Note
The Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest, located in the White Mountains of California, is home to the oldest known living trees on earth, the Great Basin Bristlecone Pine Pinus longaeva. The oldest tree, nicknamed "Methuselah", is more than 4,750 years old, and is not marked to ensure added protection from vandals. The grove lies in the Inyo National Forest, between 3,000-3,300 m (10,000-11,000 feet) above sea level.

Hello Jurgita,
Not the most aesthetic tree, but an interesting photo well taken with natural colours. And the photo also shows something of the larger environment of these trees.
Regards,
Paul

Hello, Jurgita -
This looks like it's near the Patriarch Grove, right? While it's not the most representative shot of a bristlecone, it is a very artistic one, and should really have gotten more notice. Excellent balance of elements, and very sharp. I can't make up my mind whether I want it to be lighter (Levels adjustment), since the light as it is has a nice mysterious quality.
Regards,
Dan
