Photographer’s Note
Last weekend we took a road trip to the White Mountains in the Eastern Sierras, close to Bishop. This was after about 15 miles of dirt-road driving, towards the research station at Barcroft.
I liked the feeling of desolation in this scene. Cropped out some vignetting, and adjusted colors.

Hi Ian
I really like pictures like yours, made on natural landscapes, which give me the sensation of endless, of calmness, of loneliness, some of them extreme feelings, just like Nature it is.
Excellent picture, for compo, light, ...
My congratulations

Dear Ian,
Great sharpness and DOF. Nice contrast between the white clouds and the blue sky. Well done.

Dear Ian ... I love lonely roads leading to who knows where ... this one shows it especially well, you can see the road far and far. Super nice also together with your sky.
All the best, Barbara

Nice composition Ian, I love the way the road leads the eye into the distance. I agree, a great sense of emptiness and desolation.
Thanks for sharing
