Photographer’s Note
"Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail."
---- RALPH WALDO EMERSON
I think going off the 'beaten-path' works well with camera in hand and a sense of adventure, looking for images not always found with tourist post cards.
This image is of South Bishop Creek up in the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains not far from the town of Bishop, California.(which also serves as a good base-camp for exploring)

Hi, Ray,
I like the composition a lot. Limiting the visual field to a space where you only have whites, browns, and black tones works well. The slow shutter speed adds an ethereal atmosphere. The portrait orientation is harmonious with the direction of water flow.
The one place where you could have strengthened the photo would be to have the rock in the foreground in sharper focus using an even higher f-stop (and longer exposure time?). As it is, I think the photo is a bit stronger with the foreground rock cropped out.
Still, a nice achievement. Congratulations!

Hi Ray,
A beautiful capture and a very well calculated shutter speed. The sharpness is very good and the effect on the silky water is absolutely fantastic. Congratulations!
Regards,
Darek
