Photographer’s Note
This is the view from the Waterfall House in Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. Originally built in the 1920s by Helen and Lathrop Brown, it's hard to fathom what it would be like to live in a house with truly spectacular coastline views. Amazingly, they apparently did not live in it very much- they were almost always traveling and the summertime fog bothered Helen's arthritis.
So fellow-trekkers, is there a good enough place to keep you from seeing the rest of the world?

Yes I agree- nice colors in this shot. I wonder what the black things are in the water.

If this was the view from my house I might consider not traveling anymore.

Hi Phil,
I'm doing a theme on driving Big Sur; the brown hillsides are of your photo are more typical of the area than the springtime greens that I posted.
