Photographer’s Note

This one's for Fulvio, who has inspired me to look at photography in new ways. Ciao Fulvio e mille grazie!

This shot takes my appreciation of sunsets — this one over one of my favorite spots that I've shared with you before on TE — through the perspective of others admiring the same view. It's a cliché shot, but I hope that with the silhouettes I've captured some of the "oohs and aahs" of the moment in a different way.

Sunset over the Pacific, featuring the Golden Gate Bridge in the distant background, directly opposite the East Bay shoreline. The sun set over the Marin coastal range.

Lovely setting with the silhouettes of the evening watchers captured so nicely against a fading horizon. Good colours and textures. Overall superb job done.

Hello Jose,

I would love to see more saturation in the colours. The sunset look nice even with its soft colouration. The people add life to the view and create more interest as they enjoy this natural event as much as we do on the screen. Good angle and sharpness. Gracias Jose :-)

And... this is One Wonderful Sunset, indeed.
Those silhouettes add a mysterious, almost mystical touch to the composition while being perfectly complementary to the dark Marin coastal range in the distance.
Great color and overall texture in a wonderfully atmospheric shot!
