Photographer’s Note
Before I visited Berkeley for the first time a few months ago, I figured the whole town was made up of burnt-out hippies. Those people are definitely there, but this photo represents the side I didn't consider: the university end, or the people with money.
This was taken on Berkeley's campus, near Sather Gate. I thought this building was very impressive, and the day was gorgeous...that blue sky is really what it looked like. I bumped up saturation on the doors to make the gold pop out.
