Photographer’s Note

Hiking around César Chávez Park in Berkeley, I shot this solitary kite in the sky. There wasn't too much wind, but just enough for this one to fly. Normally this park draws many kite-flyers, with the Golden Gate Bridge a distant backdrop.

I like the jet-streamed clouds and the almost sepia color of the picture. The bridge looks tiny but is enough to see is a structure.. I like the main subject on the sky. A simple object that easily catches the attention as it fills an interesting sky. Good work Jose.

Hey Jose,

What an amazing quality of image you have here. The wide shot makes everything looking so vast yet the Golden Gate can still be seen. Amazing sharpness, warm relaxing 'golden' glow in the entire image. A charming moment with the inclusion of a kite...one's childness moment, a joy of relaxation and fun truly very warm and true.

I'm in Malaysia for the week for business and might be posting some images, right now I'm below the Petronas Tower critiquing you and just letting you know how amazing these towers look!

Hi Jose!
I enjoy tis nice view.Maybe a bit too much of the black foreground,but the silhouettes of the tree, an the kite look great and contrast well with the nice colors of the sky.The silhouettes of the people at the shore are nice too and your image has a great depth with the mountans in the distance.

Amazing light! The silhouette of the landscape, contrasts with this wamr lovely light you have achieved!

Jose,
in spite few lighting, you have had a great capture of dreamy kite flying. the beautiful sunset and good anti light elements.
Also colors and soft layers of clouds on sky.

Me gusta esta imagen, es un fantástico contraluz, el cielo es el perfecto complemento para crear esta interesante atmósfera, veo que creaste un WS recortando un poco la escena, queda mejor, con ello has logrado equilibrarla correctamente, también me he permitido crear un WS con un recorte más panorámico respetando los árboles de la izquierda, pues pienso son importantes en esta composición, también comentarte que he notado un cambio satisfactorio con respecto a tus primeras fotografías, buen trabajo tocayo.
