Photographer’s Note

A storm front just passed over much of California, leaving cold, clear northern air in its wake. This photo is taken from the foot of Ashby Avenue, a major east-west route through Berkeley, looking west in the afternoon light. The dark lump of land in the center of the bay is Angel Island, a state park that once served as the processing center for immigrants from Asia -- the Ellis Island of the West.

It's low tide, and there is more to appreciate about the bay shoreline at this time. In this photo there are still some clouds lingering over the Pacific Ocean.

Could this be my last SF Bay shot? I know I've posted a couple others here recently, and I don't want you all to think that this is all I photograph!

But hope you enjoy. Feel free to share your opinions directly with me.
