Photographer’s Note
This photo was taken at the edge of San Francisco Bay behind Golden Gate Fields, a horse racing track in Berkeley. I'd noticed the change in color in the sky as I drove north from Oakland late in the afternoon on my way to Marin County. I took the first exit and headed toward the water. I drove behind the race track and found a parking place. I opened the window and shot this photo while resting my camera lens on the car door.
This is simply another of the long collection of photos I've posted showing the splendor of the San Francisc Bay Area. Hope you enjoy another day on the Bay.

Hi Curtis! Beautiful shot, i liked the great exposure, sharp and colours tones. Intersting framing with the line of the horizon being in the center of the picture.

For me, it's one of the seldom original photo of this bridge, with this important foreground of water and this nice color.
The bird is well seen too and gives life to the scene.
Excellent !

Good evening, Curtis. Would be nice if this was a daily life picture as well.
Stunning! The colors so soft, the clouds so beautiful and placed low on the horizon, the sail boats and the arch under the bridge, it's all a delight for the eye. Very sharp and beautiful one.
Maybe I would have cropped a little bit more of the bottom, so that the horizon would be a little bit less centered, but it's just a minor thing. Beautiful colors, and it can compete with your Pacific Sundance.
Update, the BIRD, excellent, and no, it can't compete with your Pacific sundance

Hi Curtis
Superb sharpness, color & saturation, with excellent composition, for this iconic SFO bridge, & famous landmark. I like the silhouetted bird, & the yacht too, which add to the depth. Well done!

Wow, I like the atmosphere of your picture, we have the impression that is the sky of Mars. Your point of view is excellent with the clouds between the two pillars of the bridge. The time seems fixed.
Excellent composition Curtis.

And as I mentioned in my comments about San Quentin about your skill of capturing beauty and grittiness I have gone through quite a change between the three photos I just looked at of yours. This is very beautiful. It shows us why this is the Golden Gate. The bridge out there is magnificent. It is so graceful and elegant spanning the entrance to the bay. The light, the sailboats and the bird all add to the quiet beauty of this time of day. And the details are very well captured, from the texture of the water to the girders of the bridge deck. I can't take my eyes off the lines of the cables and bridge as a whole. Fantastic!

Paradoxalement, on aurait presque envie de faire un W&B de cette photo tant les couleurs sont belles et douces. Le grand moment de tranquilité, de quiétude et d'apaisement que la fin de journée, un grand merci pour cette image magnifique !

I don't see many photos of the whole bridge, I love this panoramic like view. The bird in the sky is a nice touch too. The puffy clouds seem to glow, the sailboats dotting the bay are nice as well. Keep these lovely photos coming, I've neglected your photos for awhile and now have many more to look at! I never get tired of your Bay area photos.
